Modular design solid wood bunk bed with slide platform is available in three heights, three colors, three styles of headboards, and many sizes.

This bunk bed is part of our Modular Collection. The name is for the fact that bunk is made of many building blocks so you have a lot of choices.

The modular design means you have zillions of options before your purchase and lots of possibilities in the future. This is because you can obtain parts and convert your item to something else. This is our only collection which we sell as a whole or by pieces.

Made of either birch, maple, or aspen premium knot-free solid hardwood, factory select. Solid hardwood bunk bed is strong, easy to maintain, and holds its value.

Usability

This bunk bed with a platform slide is great for one or two kids. Use it as your everyday bed for one child and one spare bed for sleepovers or for two kids.

Bunk bed is very sturdy so you can use it for kids, teens and adults. Even for commercial use in your BnB or rental property is still fine.

You can use this sliding platform with or without the slide and therefore use it for a very long time.

Sliding Platform

Platform is made of solid hardwood. Slide uses solid hardwood on the sides and ends, but the surface is smooth MDF for easy sliding. Depending on your bunk bed’s entrance option, you can install the platform on the left or right hand side or on either end.

Platform slide’s advantage is that it requires much less space to slide connecting directly to the front of the bunk. Another advantage is that you can use one size slide platform for all bunks and loft beds in this collection.

Slide is using metal hooks to connect to the platform and you can use this platform with and without the slide.

Under Bed Storage

There are a variety of under-bed storage solutions for this collection. You can add a storage trundle, or under-bed dresser, or two independent and large roll-in-out drawers under this bunk bed.

Safety

Modular design bunk is rated for 400 lb distributed weight on the upper deck and it is fair to say the lower deck can also hold just as much.

There are 4 metal pings, purpose built Rocklocks, which locks the upper to lower headboards.

Slats are made of knotty solid pine wood. They are 2.5” wide and 2.5” apart from each other.

Assembly

Assembly of Modular Design bunk is reasonably simple. No need to assemble the headboards. You need to assemble the ladder, the guard rails, connect mattress rails, and slats. The tricky bit is installing the Rocklock.
You also need to assemble the platform and the slide.

Mattress

Standard size mattress fits this bunk bed just fine. For the upper bunk, you can use a maximum 6” thick mattress. For the lower bunk, depending on which height you are going to choose, use a mattress between 6 to 8” thick.
