Solid Hardwood Loft Bed

Modular design solid hardwood loft bed with platform and slide is available in 3 heights, three wood colors, three styles of headboards, and in five sizes.

This loft bed is part of our Modular Collection. The name is for the fact that loft is made of many building blocks which give you a lot of choices.

The modular design means you have zillions of options before your purchase and lots of possibilities in the future. This is because you can obtain parts and convert your loft to something else, say to two loft beds for example. This is our only collection which we sell as a whole or by pieces.

You can use our modular design loft beds for kids, teens and adults both at home or in commercial settings such as BnBs.

Made of either birch, maple, or aspen premium knot free solid hardwood. You can not choose your wood type, the factory does it

Usability

This loft bed divides into one individual bed or a daybed. As your child grows, you can remove the slide and add a desk and bookcase under this loft. That is, you can raise the height of your loft with additional pieces when you need to.

Sliding Platform

Platform is made of solid hardwood. Slide is made of solid hardwood on the sides and ends, but the smooth surface is MDF for easy sliding.

Platform is an independent unit and you can add it to almost all bunks and loft beds from Modular Collection. You can install this platform in front of the bunk/loft on either the left or right hand side or you can install it to either end. Very flexible piece.

Platform slide’s advantage is that it intrudes less into the room as opposed to the slide connecting directly to the front of the bunk or loft. Another advantage is that you can use one size slide platform for all bunks and loft beds in this collection. And also you can use it with our 71” tall bunk or loft which otherwise would not be possible with a regular slide.

Slide is using metal hooks to connect to the platform and you can use this platform with and without the slide.

Ladder

There is no ladder for this unit. You use the platform for climbing up and down. If you wish to add a ladder, it is possible.

Assembly

Assembly of Modular Design loft bed is reasonably simple. No need to assemble the headboards. You need to assemble the platform, slide and connect the headboards to the legs, the guard rails, mattress rails, and slats.

Safety

This solid hardwood loft bed has a rating of 400 lb weight on the upper deck. In our factory we put 800 lb weight on this loft and it holded nicely - though we recommend it to stay within the range of actual rating.

There are 4 metal pings, purpose built Rocklocks, which locks the upper headboards to lower legs so you can not pull the legs out accidently.

Slats

Slats are made of knotty solid pine wood. Each slat is 2.5” wide and 2.5” apart from each other for a total of 14 slats for single size. End slats are 4.7” each.

Mattress

Standard size mattress fits this loft bed just fine. We recommend using a six inches thick mattress.
For single (or twin) and double (or full) extra long sizes, please make sure to choose XL mattresses. You also need XL fitted sheets which are readily available.
